My daughter read this book with her book group and though I might enjoy it, since I’m learning Japanese at the moment and interested in Japanese culture (my son lives in Tokyo and he and his Japanese wife are expecting a child soon, so I’m trying to learn enough to communicate at least a bit with them – it’s hard! )
Hmmm, it is quite a strange book – interconnected stories within stories with a mystery element – I found the mystery solving aspect a bit far fetched – a few lines on a page become a complicated picture which both explains and predicts what has and will happen in the mind of the investigator. Not sure I accept that even with the cultural differences….
Still, it was kind of fun, I guess.
