The Toast of Time – Jodi Taylor – 17.02.22

Somehow this year I missed Jodi Taylors Christmas Day short story release – I did look for it and thought for some reason she didn’t do one this year! Silly me. Found it now, and after the previous book I read: the beautiful but kind of harrowing ‘The Stranding’ a bit of light silliness andContinue reading “The Toast of Time – Jodi Taylor – 17.02.22”

Saving Time: A Time Police Novel Book 3- Jodi Taylor, Narrated by: Zara Ramm – 19.01.22

I enjoyed this third installment in the Time Police series, which is a spin off from the St Mary’s books about historians observing events in contemporary time (or time travelling). It follows ‘team weird’ who are a group of three not long qualified time police with interesting back stories and personalities who we are gettingContinue reading “Saving Time: A Time Police Novel Book 3- Jodi Taylor, Narrated by: Zara Ramm – 19.01.22”

Long Shadows: Elizabeth Cage, Book 3 – Jodi Taylor – 09.08.21

I’m a big fan of Jodi Taylor, and I’ve read everything she has published so far, but I think (actually I’m sure) that this Elizabeth Cage series (and also the Frogmorton Farm series) are my absolute favourites. Elizabeth Cage, the series hero is an introvert and a loner (yes, one of the reasons I loveContinue reading “Long Shadows: Elizabeth Cage, Book 3 – Jodi Taylor – 09.08.21”

Another Time, Another Place (Chronicles of St. Mary’s Book 12) – Jodi Taylor – 29.04.21

Although I love Jodi Taylor’s books, somehow this one didn’t excite me as much as most – I just felt a little bored by the premise and not so invested as I usually feel in her stories. I thought the twist was kind of obvious, and I missed some of the regular characters who wereContinue reading “Another Time, Another Place (Chronicles of St. Mary’s Book 12) – Jodi Taylor – 29.04.21”

The Ordeal of the Haunted Room (Chronicles of St Marys Short Story) – Jodi Taylor – 26.12.20

Every year Jodi Taylor releases a St Mary’s short story on Christmas Day and this is 2020s. I loved it! It’s an atmospheric Victorian haunted house murder mystery and I very much enjoyed reading it over snatched moments on Christmas Day and Boxing day. Thanks Jodi Taylor and happy Christmas to you and yours!

Hard Time: an irresistible spinoff from the Chronicles of St Mary’s that will make you laugh out loud (The Time Police) – Jodi Taylor – 25.10.20

As is sometimes the case with books in the Jodi Taylor ‘St Mary’s’ or ‘Time Police’ series, it took me a while to get into this book, and I started to wonder if I have had enough of Jodi Taylor’s time travel sagas (I know, I should wash my mouth out with soap!), then theContinue reading “Hard Time: an irresistible spinoff from the Chronicles of St Mary’s that will make you laugh out loud (The Time Police) – Jodi Taylor – 25.10.20”
